Elderly Montville Man Must Prove He's Not Dead To Vote: Report
He's a 92-year-old local native who served on the Town Council for decades.

MONTVILLE, CT — A 92-year-old Montville native - and retired local politician - had to prove he wasn't dead Tuesday in order to vote in the municipal election, reports The Day.
The town's voter rolls erroneously listed Max Kopko as deceased, even though he's very much alive. He's been voting at Town Hall, which is near his home, since he was 21, and he even served on a Town Council for a couple of decades, according to the publication.
He pulled out his ID to show the registrars prove that he was alive.

Kopko believes the mistake may have occurred because his younger brother, Frederick, died in August at age 84, and perhaps that fact was wrongly attributed to Max.
