Election 2016 Results: Montville Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

MONTVILLE, CT — On Election Night, 52.13 percent of residents preferred Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 4,156 residents voted for Trump and 3,340 voted for Clinton. Johnson additionally received 327 votes, while Stein received 149.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 3,933 as a Democratic candidate and 660 as a Working Families Party candidate.

Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 2,923 votes. The race was rounded out with 111 votes for Richard Lion and 120 votes for Jefferey Russell.
Democrat Joe Courtney crushed Republican candidate Daria Novak in the 2nd Congressional District race, with Courtney earning 4,964 votes on multiple lines. Novak amassed 2,500 votes, while Libertarian Daniel Reale received 106 votes and Green Party candidate Jonathan Pelto received 123.

In Montville, incumbent Democratic candidate Catherine Osten beat out Republican candidate Barbara Richardson Crouch in the race for the 19th Senatorial District. Osten garnered 973 votes as a Democratic candidate and 157 votes as a Working Families Party candidate, while Crouch amassed 812 votes as a Republican candidate and 67 votes as an Independent candidate.
In the race for 20th Senatorial District, Republican candidate Paul M. Formica declared victory over Democratic candidate Ryan Henowitz. Formica garnered 3,019 votes as a Republican candidate and 246 votes as an Independent candidate, while Henowitz amassed 1,948 votes as a Democratic candidate and 274 votes as a Working Families Party candidate.
In the 38th State House District, Republican candidate Kathleen M. McCarty won out over Democrat Sharon M. Palmer. McCarty garnered 1,146 votes on multiple lines, while Palmer received 846 on multiple lines.
In the 139th State House District, Democrat Incumbent Kevin Ryan declared victory over Republican Joseph Mark C. Taraya. Ryan received 2,103 votes on multiple lines, while Taraya received 1,473 votes on multiple lines.
In the 42nd State House District, Republican Mike France ran unopposed. He garnered 1,404 votes on multiple lines.
Republican Dana McFee received 3,851 votes and Democrat Christine Kutz received 3,376 votes for registrar of voters.
