Film on Immigrants Needs $$

"A Voice to Be Heard," a film about immigrants and their experiences with language and culture in Montville and neighboring towns, is facing a funding deadline on Friday.

On Kickstarter, Bowles and his film company have set a $48,000 goal, which they hope to reach by Friday.

As of this morning, 61 backers had pledged $2,655 for the project.

Kickstarter is a fascinating community project funding source. You pledge what you want to pledge, and if the project meets its self-set goal by its self-imposed deadline, your pledge is paid. If it does not meet its goal, no pledges are paid out.
