Graduate Of State Police K9 Training To Serve In Montville

MONTVILLE, CT — Connecticut State Police graduated nine K-9 officers recently, including one that will serve at State Police Troop E in Montville.

State police announced the graduation "of the most advanced patrol canine teams, who are now ready to serve and protect our communities with unwavering dedication and skill," according to a statement.

"The Connecticut State Police 246th Patrol K9 Class graduates completed an intensive and rigorous 16-week training program in their pursuit of excellence," the statement reads. "The 9 graduating canine teams have successfully completed an extensive curriculum that encompasses a wide range of skills including locating missing family members, locating critical evidence during investigations, crucial support to law enforcement officers, and community engagement."

For Montville, Trooper Xavier Crawford and K9 Vader will serve at State Police Troop E.
