Hot flashes is a condition commonly associated with menopause.Β
Hot flashes have been described as a womanβs βown personal summer,β a time of heat and humidity even in the coldest of temperatures. Β Β The symptoms of a hot flash vary but according to medical experts can include:

There is no specific trigger that causes hot flashes, but several factors can lead to them.Β Reproductive changes due to hormones and body temperature changes are among these contributors.Β It also appears that there are higher risk groups for hot flashes.Β Those who are obese, those who smoke, those who are physically inactive, and African-American women all report high incidences of hot flashes.
