State Police are seeking answers to the disappearance of Erika Cironi, whose bones were found in March on Oxoboxo Dam Road

Connecticut State Police and Norwich Police were out in force on Tuesday, doing a follow-up investigation on the bones that were found in March on Oxoboxo Dam Road, Lt. J. Paul Vance said Tuesday afternoon.
The bones have been identified as being the remains of Erika Cirioni of Norwich, who disappeared on Dec. 31, 2006.
According to the Bulletin, she was last seen in downtown Norwich on that day.

More than 50 law enforcement personnel knocked on doors and talked to people in the area near Oxoboxo Dam Road, where Cirioni’s remains were found. Vance said he did not know how long the investigation would continue.
The cause of Cirioni’s death remains undetermined following a post-mortem examination at the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“We’re leaving no stone unturned,” Vance said this afternoon. “Literally.”
