Man Arrested On Drug-Dealing Charges: Montville Police

A man was arrested after police said they found him with 20 grams of crack-cocaine.

MONTVILLE, CT — Police arrested a man on drug charges Wednesday. John Kelly, 25, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police stopped a car on Fort Shantok Road in Uncasville at 10:31 a.m. Police said there were "numerous indicators of criminal activity."

A police dog was used and alerted officers to the presence of drugs. Police said they searched the vehicle and found about 20 grams of crack cocaine along with packaging materials to prepare the drug for street-level sale.

Kelly was arrested and released on $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on March 30.
