Man Charged With Dealing Drugs In Montville: Police
A man is facing charges after police say they found quantities of fentanyl and crack-cocaine in his car.
MONTVILLE, CT — A man was charged with dealing drugs in Montville recently, according to police. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 163 at 9:47 a.m. Sunday.
Police searched the vehicle and found 389 glassine bags containing fentanyl along with 11 bags of crack cocaine packaged for street-level sales. The fentanyl weighed a total of 4 ounces and the cocaine weighed 1.3 ounces.
The driver, Tashaun Fair, 30, was taken into custody. Police said Fair had a 4-year-old in the car with him and a crack pipe was found next to the child.

Fair was charged with sale of 1/2 ounce or more of crack cocaine, sale of 1 ounce or more of fentanyl, operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and risk of injury to a minor.
He was released on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on May 25.
