Montville Coach Cleared To Return After Probe Ends: UPDATE

A Montville coach and teacher placed on paid leave following misconduct allegations has now been cleared to return to work.

UPDATE: School officials announced in January 2022 that Tanner Grove, a Montville High School teacher and coach placed on leave in 2021 while officials investigated claims of misconduct, will return to work Monday, according to The New London Day.

All state, local, and district investigations into Grove have been closed. School officials accused of failing to report Grove's actions have also been cleared, the publication reports. Details about the investigation have not been released.

MONTVILLE, CT β€” A Montville High School coach and teacher has been put on paid leave, while authorities investigate allegations of misconduct involving a student, according to The New London Day. Head football coach Tanner Grove is on paid leave pending the results of the investigation.

The state Department of Children and Families is conducting a joint investigation with law enforcement into the allegations, The Day reports. Grove could not be reached for comment by The Day.
