Montville Election 2016 Results: Winners Revealed in Local Races

MONTVILLE, CT -- Results are coming in for a number of electoral races across the board in Montville, both on a local and national scale.

On the ballot, registered voters in Montville were able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative and registrar of voters.

In Montville, Republican candidate Paul M. Formica declared victory over Democratic candidate Ryan Henowitz in the race for 20th Senatorial District, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin. Formica has been Chairman of the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments, where he chaired the regional rail committee and served on the regional water committee.

Meanwhile, incumbent Democratic candidate Catherine Osten beat out Republican candidate Barbara Richardson Crouch in the race for the 19th Senatorial District, as reported by The Day.

In the 38th State House District, unofficial results revealed that Republican candidate Kathleen M. McCarty won out over Democrat Sharon M. Palmer, as reported by The Day. The retired teacher and school board member will serve her second two-year term.

In the 139th State House District, Democrat Incumbent Kevin Ryan declared victory over Republican Joseph Mark C. Taraya, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

In the 42nd State House District, Republican Mike France ran unopposed.

The registrar of voters in Montville is between Democrat Christine Kutz and Republican Dana McFee.
