Montville Man Attempted To Sexually Assault Teen: Police
A man who fled charges that he attempted to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl two years ago has been captured, police said.
MONTVILLE, CT — A man has been extradited to Connecticut to face sexual assault charges after he fled the state two years ago, according to state police.
Carlos Davila, 21, of Montville, was charged with criminal attempt to commit second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
In July 2021, a 14-year-old girl said she and a friend met with Davila at a school. Davila pushed the victim to her knees and exposed himself, according to the warrant. The two victims were able to escape.

Davila had met the victim on social media. She had told him how old she was, and he had asked her for explicit photos, the warrant states.
Davila fled the state. He was ultimately arrested on unrelated charges in Massachusetts, then extradited to Connecticut, police said.

He was held on $150,000 bond. Davila was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
