Montville Man Sentenced For Bank Robbery: Feds

Anthony Hall was on supervised release for a prior bank robbery conviction when he robbed a Norwich bank, according to prosecutors.

MONTVILLE, CT — A Montville man was sentenced to four years, four months in prison for his role in a Norwich bank robbery, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Anthony Hall, 60, was on supervised release for a prior federal bank robbery conviction when the crime occurred.

According to prosecutors, Hall was sentenced in April 2011 in Hartford federal court to more than seven years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for robbing four Connecticut banks in 2008 and 2009.

He was released from federal custody in January 2016. While while on federal supervised release in September 2019, Hall robbed the Eastern Savings Bank, located at 666 West Main St. in Norwich, of about $2,400, according to the statement.

Hall has been detained since his arrest on related state charges in October 2019. He pleaded guilty in April in federal court to one count of bank robbery.
