Montville Man Sentenced to Prison for Sexually Assaulting 11-Year Old Girl

He also is not allowed unsupervised contact with children and must register as a sex offender.

MONTVILLE, CT - A man accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year old girl was sentenced Friday to 2 and half years in prison, the Norwich Bulletin reported

James Bixby. 39, is charged with assaulting the victim several times, and will face both jail time and 10 years’ strict probation, according to the Norwich Bulletin. He also is not allowed unsupervised contact with children and must register on the state sex offender list for 10 years.

The suspect was sentenced after agreeing to a plea deal in October, the Norwich Bulletin reported. An arrest warrant affidavit said Bixby had sex with the victim when she was 14 while staying at his house.
