Montville Not Pursuing More than $10,000 in Delinquent Taxes

Debts on the suspense list have been considered uncollectable, the tax collector's office says.

MONTVILLE, CT- For the closing fiscal year, Montvillewill not be pursuing more than $100,000 in outstanding taxes, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

The town’s suspense list for $103,328 was unanimously approved by town councillors at their June meeting, according to the Norwich Bulletin. The list consists of debts the town has been unable to collect, though they have tried.

The suspense list debts are ones the town considers uncollectible, the Norwich Bulletin reported. Though they will not be pursued actively, the debts on the list are still, however, able to be collected.
