Montville Police Officer Could Be Fired After Fatal Shooting
Veteran Off. Robin Salvatore was cleared by a state's attorney but was injured in the 2017 incident.

MONTVILLE, CT — Police Officer Robin Salvaltore, who was cleared this week in the 2017 fatal shooting of Norwich resident Val Thomas, is facing termination from the Montville Police Department because she has been unable to return to work due to injury from the incident, reports the Hartford Courant.
The union representing Salvatore is fighting to keep her job in part because she says she still loves being a police officer.
Montville Mayor Ronald McDaniel is proposing to meet with Salvatore next week to discuss possible termination. Town officials argue that she has exhausted her injury leave time.
