Montville Police Officer Transfers to New London Police Force
Joseph P. Kondash II and Ryan Soccio came to New London from the Montville Police Dept. and UConn Police Dept., respectively.

Welcome Officer Kondash and Officer Soccio.
Today [Sept. 22] at City Hall two new officers joined the New London Police Department ranks. Both officers join NLPD already as certified officers.

Officer Joseph P. Kondash II is a lateral transfer from Montville Police Department where he served for 4 1/2 years prior to coming to NLPD. During his time at Montville PD, Officer Kondash was honored as the 2013 Police Officer of the Year and received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Award twice for DUI enforcement.
Kondash was a Field Training Officer, EMT certified, child safety seat certified and also achieved Taser Instructor certification as a Montville Police Officer.

Prior to his employment as a Police Officer he was employed by the Town of Montville as a Firefighter for approximately ten (10) years. Kondash also served with the Connecticut Army National Guard earning the rank of E-5/Sergeant during his years of service prior to being honorably discharged.
Officer Ryan Soccio is a lateral transfer from UCONN Police Department. Officer Soccio is a 3 year veteran police officer who also served as a police officer with George Mason University Police Department as well.
Soccio has a bachelor of arts degree from the The Catholic University of America where he majored in Politics and minored in philosophy. Kondash is also a certified Field Training Officer.
