Montville Police Referendum Results

Residents voted Tuesday on whether to approve creating an independent police force or remaining part of the resident trooper program.

MONTVILLE, CT - Residents voted 1,518 to 938 against approving establishing an independent police force Tuesday during an all-day referendum, the Norwich Bulletin reports.

Almost 30 percent of registered voters cast their ballot. The town will remain part of the resident state trooper program.
