Montville Police Seize Heroin, Marijuana, Cash During Residence Search

MONTVILLE, CT – Police executed a search and seizure warrant Wednesday and uncovered a large amount of drugs, as well as paraphernalia.
At approximately 1 p.m., Montville Police Department searched a Chapel Hill Road residence in the Oakdale section of town. Police were assisted by the Connecticut State Police, according to a recent post on the department's Facebook page.
Police said they located approximately 112 bags of Heroin, 6 ounces of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine during the search. Also found were numerous items of drug paraphernalia and $1,041 in cash.
Suspect Phillip Taylor, 23, who resides at the address, was arrested and faces five charges. These include possession of narcotics and marijuana with intent to sell.

He was later released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at the Norwich Superior Courthouse on Aug. 25. Police urge anyone with information on illegal drug activity to contact them, and can do so anonymously if they wish.
