Montville Resident Killed In Crash, ID Released: State Police

A 26-year-old was killed in the crash.

LISBON, CT — A Montville resident was killed in a crash in Lisbon early Saturday, state police said.

At 2:55 a.m. Troop "E" Montville Troopers responded to a 2 car collision on I-395 northbound in the area of exit 19 in Lisbon, state police said.

The operator of a 2010 BMW, identified as Keith Mutch, 26, of Oakdale, collided with the rear end of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, state police said. Mutch separated from his vehicle due to the collision and came to rest in the center median, state police said.

Mutch was pronounced dead, and the operator and passenger of the Jeep were transported to Backus Hospital for suspected minor injuries, state police said.

This case is actively being investigated by Troop "E" personnel and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. Anyone who has information or witnessed the collision is asked to contact Troop E in Montville.
