Montville Seeks To Recoup Millions In Delinquent Taxes: Report

The town is considering tougher collection efforts.

MONTVILLE, CT — Montville officials, who say the town is owed millions of dollars in delinquent taxes, is considering ways of toughening its collection efforts, reports The Day.

Delinquent real estate taxes dating back to 2002 total nearly $4 million, according to officials, and the town is also owed money in business taxes.

Among the options the town is studying is the collection policies of New London, which reportedly takes a harder line on tax delinquencies.
