Montville Takes $1.5 Million Hit in Latest Malloy Budget Plan

Montville would see a 9 percent reduction in its 2019 state grant if Malloy's plan wins General Assembly approval.

MONTVILLE, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

North Haven would receive 9 percent - or $1,495,371 less than previously thought. Montville was allocated $15.7 million; now $14.2 million.
