More Than $1M Won On Mohegan Sun Table Games This Summer

UNCASVILLE, CT — Mohegan Sun guests have won more than $1 million in table game side bet jackpots since the beginning of June, highlighted by a nearly $375,000 payout on a rare blackjack hand.

According to Mohegan Sun, the largest jackpot came July 10, when a guest hit a rare five-card Royal Flush while playing blackjack in Casino of the Earth. The winning hand triggered a progressive jackpot worth $374,887.

The summer winning streak began June 7, when another blackjack player hit a Diamond Royal Flush on the Super 4 Progressive side bet with a $5 wager, collecting $307,817.

The casino reported five additional progressive jackpot wins over the past two months:

• June 11: A six-card straight flush paid $82,202.
• June 17: A six-card straight flush on a High Card Flush jackpot paid $75,323.
• July 1: A straight flush jackpot paid $109,925.
• July 22: An AKQJ diamonds progressive jackpot paid $138,070.
• July 30: A royal flush on the Super 4 Progressive paid $103,506.

Combined, the seven jackpots totaled more than $1.19 million.

Mohegan Sun is also continuing its Hot Summer Fun promotion through Sept. 6. The casino said its $2 Million Summer of promotions includes daily opportunities for Momentum members to win cash prizes by playing slot machines, table games or in the Poker Room.

The casino is also hosting weekly Summer Blackjack Tournament Series events through Sept. 2. Players who earn two Status Points receive an entry into that week's tournament, where participants compete for a share of more than $100,000 in prizes awarded throughout the series, according to Mohegan Sun.
