National Retailer At Mohegan Sun Closes Its Doors

UNCASVILLE, CT — The Victoria's Secret outlet at Mohegan Sun has closed, according to the New London Day. The women's intimate apparel store will vacate the space this week to make way for a new retailer in its location across from Tuscany, a restaurant.

Victoria's Secret closed almost 250 stores in 2020 and has plans to close more this year.

The parent company of the lingerie chain, L Brands, announced in February that it had plans to close for good 30 to 50 stores this year. L Brands has been trying to spin off Victoria's Secret for months.

In Connecticut, Victoria's Secret is located at:

• The Shoppes at Buckland Hills mall in Manchester
• Westfarms mall on the Farmington-West Hartford line
• Crystal Mall in Waterford
• Connecticut Post mall in Milford
• Westfield Trumbull mall

Between the 50 projected for 2020 and the 241 stores shuttered last year, Victoria's Secret will have a total of 848 locations.
