New $80 Million Convention Center Approved for Mohegan Sun
Officials plan for the new center to open just in time for the annual Barrett-Jackson collector car auction.
UNCASVILLE, CT - Mohegan Sun officials recently announced the approval of plans to add an $80 million convention center to the casino resort, as reported by the New London Day.
The Mohegan Sun Expo Center is on track to open in the summer of 2018, according to the New London Day. The center is planned to measure approximately 131,000-square-feet.
The new center will open just in time to host the annual Barrett-Jackson collector car auction, the New London Day reported. Officials said last year's auction set arena attendance records.
