Overactive Bladder Research Study in New London for Women 65 and Above

Overactive Bladder is a Real Medical Condition

Research on Overactive Bladder (OAB) is currently underway in New London, Connecticut. OAB is a real medical condition which affects men and women. Symptoms in women may include urinating eight or more times per day, getting up one to two times during the night to urinate, and sometimes having episodes of wetting or starting to wet your pants if you cannot make it to the restroom in time.

A variety of medications are available for prescription to help treat the condition. Currently in New London, a clinical trial is underway at Coastal Connecticut Research evaluating urinary frequency and sleep patterns in women 65 and older living with Overactive Bladder. The study medication being evaluated is FDA-approved. Research volunteers from the area have come forward to participate. Interested volunteers can call the site at (860)443-4567 to learn more about the trial and participation.

Coastal Connecticut Research, also known as CCRstudies, is located on Montauk Avenue. Dr. Robert Spitz is the site's founder and serves as Medical Director and Primary Investigator. The research team is comprised of highly trained medical staff included board-certified physicians, APRN's, RN's, LPN's, and study coordinators.
