St. Bernard High School Alum Selected by Baltimore Orioles in MLB Draft

A former St. Bernard High School standout was selected during the three-day Major League Baseball draft last week.

Willie Rios, a left-handed pitcher from Waterford, was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles in the 16th round with the 481st overall pick.

Rios was one of 11 players with Connecticut ties who were drafted. The complete list follows:
