State, Montville Police Search For Stolen Vehicle Thieves

The two separate thefts occurred in the early morning hours of July 26, according to authorities.

MONTVILLE, CT — A pair of separate motor vehicle thefts which occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 26, are being investigated by the Montville Resident State Trooper’s Office and the Montville Police Department, according to authorities.

The below listed vehicles were stolen from the area of Anderson Lane and Lake Drive in the Oakdale section of Montville:

  • Vehicle #1: a white 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe with CT registration WLP6389
  • Vehicle #2: a black 2018 Hyundai Tucson, which was later recovered in Hartford.

"Montville Police thank the public for continuing to bring suspicious activity to the department’s attention and reminds Montville and all Connecticut residents to keep their vehicles locked and the vehicle keys and key fobs secured in safe place," wrote department officials in a statement.
