State Senator Richard Blumenthal, speaking to professionals and business leaders at the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast on July 1, stressed the importance of healthcare in our nation.Β Senator Blumenthal noted the needΒ to train medical professionals and provide resources for them.Β βWe need more doctors, and more skilled training,β he said.Β He also spoke in depth about the challenges many veterans face in dealing with conditions such as traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder.Β When speaking of the men and women currently serving in todayβs military Senator Blumenthal noted, βthis generation is the next greatest generation.βΒ βWe need to invest in healthcare,β he told those in attendance.Β
