State Senator Richard Blumenthal Advocates for Healthcare

State Senator Richard Blumenthal, speaking to professionals and business leaders at the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast on July 1, stressed the importance of healthcare in our nation.  Senator Blumenthal noted the need to train medical professionals and provide resources for them.  “We need more doctors, and more skilled training,” he said.  He also spoke in depth about the challenges many veterans face in dealing with conditions such as traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder.  When speaking of the men and women currently serving in today’s military Senator Blumenthal noted, “this generation is the next greatest generation.”  “We need to invest in healthcare,” he told those in attendance.

MaryLou Gannotti, Public Relations and Communications Director for CCRStudies in New London, attended the chamber event to help spread the word about the important role clinical trials play in healthcare.
