Students of the Month Named at Saint Bernard School
Kristine Xu, of Uncasville, and Sophia Ortega-Diaz, of Mystic, received honors for March
Kristine Xu and Sophia Ortega-Diaz have been named March Students of the Month at Saint Bernard School.
Kristine, a sophomore, participates on the school cross-country and tennis teams, and in psychology club. Outside of school, she volunteers at the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund. The 17-year-old lives in Uncasville.
Sophia, a seventh-grader, is a Student Ambassador and plays lacrosse. Outside of school, she studies ballet. Sophia, 12, resides in Mystic.

Both girls are in their second year as students at Saint Bernard School. “I like the spirit of the community and all of the people here,” Sophia says.
Kristine adds, “The students and the teachers are really friendly.”
