Students Still Hopeful For Visit From President Trump In Montville

Though they have yet to hear back, a group of Montville students are still holding out hope for a visit from President Trump on Wednesday.

MONTVILLE, CT - Montville students are hoping for a visit from President Donald Trump, Fox 61 reported. The President is scheduled to be in New London on Wednesday.

A group of civics students and their teachers recently tweeted at the President to drop by Montville High School while he is in Connecticut, according to Fox 61. Civics teacher George Dawe said they also sent letters to Trump. (To sign up for Montville breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Though they have not gotten a response from the President, the group is still holding out hope, Fox 61 reported. Even if Trump does not make an appearance, many students feel the assignment brought them closer together despite differing opinions.
