Take A Tour: Montville's Five Priciest Homes On The Market Right Now

MONTVILLE, CT — New construction leads Montville's most expensive homes for sale: four of the top five are new homes, including two in the Chapel Hill Estates development, according to listings on Zillow.com.

No. 1 on the list is 292 Chapel Hill Road, a new-construction home on the builder's Montville plan at Chapel Hill Estates, a collection of 32 houses, listed at $789,000. It has about 2,745 square feet, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, a private office and a flex room on 2.18 acres, and buyers can choose some of the finishes. Zillow lists 2027 as the year built. It has been on Zillow for 90 days.

Just behind it is 296 Chapel Hill Road, a smaller version of the same plan in the same development, listed at $689,900. It has about 2,257 square feet, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, an office and a flex room on 2 acres. It has also been on Zillow for 90 days.

Rounding out the top three is 207 Chesterfield Road in Oakdale, a New England-style Cape still to be built on an approved 1.84-acre lot, listed at $624,900 after a $74,900 price increase on Aug. 27. Plans show about 2,074 square feet, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, a first-floor primary suite and a home office. It has been on Zillow for 60 days.

No. 4 is 11 Lochdale Drive in Oakdale, a 1996 house cut by $9,288 to $599,900 on Oct. 26. The original Cape-style house connects through a shared kitchen to an attached ranch-style addition with its own living room, dining area and primary suite, which the listing pitches for multigenerational living. Altogether it has 4,353 square feet, seven bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom on 2.73 acres, plus an office of about 500 square feet over the garage. The listing notes the house is cooled by window units rather than central air, and that the old in-ground pool was filled in this year. It has been on Zillow for 29 days.

Closing out the top five is 201 Chesterfield Road in Oakdale, a new-construction single-level ranch on another approved 1.84-acre lot, listed at $579,000 after a $29,000 price increase on Aug. 27. Zillow lists 1,707 square feet, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms; the listing says about 1,701 square feet and 2.5 baths. It has been on Zillow for 60 days.
