Uncasville Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Overdose: Police

An Uncasville man is facing charges that he supplied heroin/fentanyl in a fatal overdose, according to police.

MONTVILLE, CT — A man has been charged in connection with an overdose death in July of last year, according to police. Gregory Benjamin, 25, of Uncasville, was charged with sale of narcotics.

According to police, the case is linked to an overdose death in the Oakdale section of Montville on July 20.

Police investigated and determined that the deceased 26-year-old man had met with Benjamin in Montville to buy heroin/fentanyl. After Benjamin sold drugs to the victim, Benjamin provided instructions on how to take the drugs and how much of the drugs to take, according to police.

Benjamin was arrested at his home Monday. He was held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday.
