Uncasville Nursing Home Fined By The State: Report
The state Department of Public Health recently leveled the fine.

MONTVILLE, CT — Uncasville-based Orchard Grove Specialty Care Center recently was fined $3,270 by the state Department of Public Health for a lapse in care at the nursing home earlier this year that resulted in a resident requiring hospitalization, reports Connecticut Health I-Team.
The resident was treated in a hospital for low blood pressure and sepsis after they were found to be lethargic and having trouble breathing, among other problems, according to the publication.
A doctor had requested the nursing home monitor the resident's blood pressure, but there was no record that that had occurred for at least a couple of weeks. Additionally, there was no record that certain medications had been properly administered during the same period.
