Unstable Roof Leads to Evacuation of 2 Dozens Residents
Residents reported hearing loud creaking noises.
About two dozen residents living at the apartment complex 1591 Route 32, which is also known as the Norwich-New London Turnpike had to be evacuated after the building’s roof was determined to be not stable, reports WFSB3 TV.
Residents reported hearing “loud creaking noises,” WFSB 3 reports.
The building was declared unsafe by town officials, but officials don’t think it’s weather related as there isn’t much snow on the roof.
