Woman Aims to Set Up Montville Community Market, Asks Public for Help
A woman is aiming to raise money for a community food market concept.

MONTVILLE, CT -- An Oakdale woman is hoping to bring a community food market to an empty Route 32 storefront, the Norwich Bulletin reported.
Trish Laros has launched a grassroots campaign to open a store that can be an alternative to big-box and chain stores, according to the Norwich Bulletin. It will fill the hole left by the closure of Best Market, which once occupied the Route 32 location.
A GoFundMe page was set up on July 6 to raise money for the store, the Norwich Bulletin reported. As of Thursday morning, only $200 of the $150,000 goal has been reached.
