1 Dead, 3 Injured In Waterbury Car Crash: Reports

WATERBURY, CT — One person was killed and three others were injured in an early-morning crash in Waterbury on Saturday, according to multiple reports citing police.
Police said the crash involving a Ford truck and a Kia sedan happened around 2 a.m. on Meriden Road, NBC Connecticut reported. It's unclear what caused the crash.
The driver of the Ford — Calvin Mackey Jr., 26, of Bristol — was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Fox 61 report. A 37-year-old female passenger in Mackey's car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the station reported.

The driver of the Kia, a 31-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital where she is in critical condition, NBC Connecticut reported. The passenger in the sedan, a 39-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, reports said.
The crash remains under investigation.
