1 Dead, Another Injured After Wrong-Way Crash In Waterbury
The crash occurred at 3:11 a.m. Sunday, when investigators say a driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.

WATERBURY, CT — One person is dead and another person is injured following a wrong-way car crash on Route 8 in Waterbury overnight Sunday, according to state police.
The crash occurred at 3:11 a.m. near Exit 30A, where investigators say one of the drivers, 30-year-old Aron Tyrell Vann from Waterbury, was driving a Nissan Altima southbound in the northbound lanes when he struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on in the left lane.
Vann was killed in the crash, police said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 36-year-old man from Allentown, Pennsylvania, was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation, according to police.
