14-Year-Old Accused Of Stealing Car In Waterbury: PD
The teen led officers on a foot pursuit before being captured, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT — A 14-year-old boy has been charged with stealing a Subaru Outback and then leading police on a foot chase.
Police did not release the teen’s name due to his age.
The youth is facing two counts, including larceny of a motor vehicle and interfering with police.

Officers assigned to the department’s Auto Theft Task Force were patrolling the area of Walnut Avenue and Walnut Street on Sept. 12.
During this patrol, police found a stolen 2015 blue Subaru Outback and the juvenile, police said.

According to police, the teen noticed officers and fled the area on foot. Police apprehended and arrested him after a brief pursuit, police said.
