2 Teens Killed In Connecticut Crash, IDs Released

State police said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

WATERBURY, CT — Two teens were killed in a three-vehicle crash on I-84 in Waterbury, state police said.

At 7:56 a.m. Sunday, Troop A responded to a multivehicle double fatal collision on Interstate 84 westbound in the area of Exit 25A.

The collision involved a blue 2008 Honda Fit that commenced into a yaw, and while within the left lane, the Honda Fit collided into the right rear of a white 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, state police said.

Following the impact, the Honda Fit spun across the center lane and entered the right lane, state police said. While within the right lane, the Honda Fit collided into the rear end of a gray 2021 Ford F-150, state police said.

The driver of the Honda Fit, Abdriel Negron, 16, of Waterbury, and the front passenger, Sheily Briceno, 18, of Hartford, sustained fatal injuries, state police said. CARS is assisting with the investigation.
