2 Waterbury Teachers Quarantine After Positive Coronavirus Test

Two teachers in Waterbury have tested positive for coronavirus.

WATERBURY, CT — Waterbury has two confirmed COVID-19 cases among the district's 1,530 teachers, according to The Republican-American. One case of a Kennedy High School teacher was confirmed Friday, and another of a Rotella Magnet School teacher was confirmed last week.

Both teachers are under a 14-day quarantine before returning to school. A third teacher who was setting up a classroom with one of the infected teachers is in quarantine out of an abundance of caution, The Republican-American reported.
