$30,000 Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Naugatuck

An unnamed person is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” An unknown person is $30,000 richer this week after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in Naugatuck, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

The winning "30X Cash 9th Edition" ticket was purchased at Road Runners on Rubber Avenue.

"Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown," lottery officials said in a statement.

The game, which costs $30 per ticket, began in January, and as of Wednesday, 89 grand prizes of $30,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.53.
