The Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 5467 6th Annual Coats for Kids Sets A New Record Again – Distributes 552 Coats.

WOODBRIDGE, CT - The Trinity Council 6th Annual Coats for Kids in 2020 set another record. The program started in the spring and will continue through December. This year the council distributed a record number of 552 new boys and girls winter coats, surpassing the 540 coats delivered in 2019.

The coats were distributed to twenty-two schools, churches and service organizations, including two new groups: ACES: Mill Academy, Hamden and Davis Street School, New Haven. Since the program started in 2015, the council has distributed 1,944 coats in six years.

~ Woodbridge: Beecher Road School
~ New Haven: All Saints Catholic Academy, Amistad Academy Elementary School; Conte / West Hills Magnet School; Davis Street School, Farnam Neighborhood House; Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS); King / Robinson Magnet School; Life Haven, Inc.; Roberto Clemente School; St. Martin de Porres Academy; Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Worthington Hooker School.

To achieve these results, the program received extraordinary financial support from Our Lady of the Assumption, Social Action Committee and the Ladies Guild, Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 5467, Amity Meat Center (Woodbridge), Capasso Landscaping LLC (Bethany), Cedarwood General Contractors (Bethany), Cohen & Thomas (Derby), Commercial Furniture Service Corporation (Hamden), Commodore John Barry Assembly 097 (Woodbridge), Cretella, Fappiano and Monelli (Trumbull), DiGennaro Service (Bethany), Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. In addition, an incredible number of parishioners made generous donations.


I would also like to thank Bob Ellis for his continued support and guidance in making this year’s campaign a successful one. Thus far this year, the program has received $11,897 in donations.
