Accused Almost Runs Over Police Officer's Foot: Naugatuck Police
The accused is charged with operating a drug factory and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A Waterbury man, who is accused of being in possession of more than five grams of pot, almost ran over a Naugatuck police officer's foot as the accused tried to drive away, police said. At 2:18 p.m. on June 13, police were called to the area of 461 Spring Street on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Once the officer approached the vehicle, the driver, Tyrek T. Jordan, 21, of Mark Lane, sped away at a "high rate of speed narrowly missing running over the officer's feet," police said. The accused was later taken into custody on Melissa Court which is a dead end street, police said.
Jordan possessed over five grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, police said. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

He is charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, operating a drug factory, first-degree reckless endangerment, and interfering with an officer.
