Alexandra Hernandez Winner of 'Can U Sing USA'

Naugatuck resident Alexandra Hernandez is the winner of Can U Sing USA.

According to their website, Can U Sing USA is a singing contest that allows both kids and adults to show case their singing talents. The contest is organized as a series of auditions held throughout the year. Audience members are treated to a series of vocal performances by contestants and to commentary by a distinguished panel of judges. In addition to gaining valuable experience, performers compete for a top prize. The final winners will receive from $500 to $1000 IN CASH AND PRIZES as well as the opportunity to record a single song demo CD in a professional recording studio, and more.

Alex is a recent graduate of Naugatuck High School and was excellent in the role of Dorothy in their production of The Wizard of Oz early this year. She also played the role of Annie Oakley in Naugatuck Teen Theatre’s production of Annie Get Your Gun.
