Popular Family-Owned Bagel Shop In Naugatuck Announces Move To New Location

The small neighborhood bagel shop announced on social media plans to move from its current location in Naugatuck to a bigger space in CT.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A popular family-owned bagel shop in Naugatuck announced over the weekend plans to move to a bigger space in Middlebury.

The owners of DeRocco's Wiches Bagels and Brew announced the move in a Facebook post Sunday after "five incredible years" at 157 Quinn Street in Naugatuck.

"What started in our small neighborhood shop in Naugatuck has grown into something we could have only dreamed of," the post reads, "and it's all because of you. Your support, loyalty and love over the past five years have meant everything to us."

The owners also noted they were "truly grateful for every breakfast sandwich, every cup of coffee and every familiar face that walked through our doors."

The store's new space will be located in a plaza at 900 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury, according to the post.

"This new location will allow us to serve you better, welcome even more of our amazing community and continue growing what we love to do every day," the post reads. "We can't wait to see you there and start this next chapter together."

The owners also acknowledged it was "hard to say goodbye to the place where it all began" in Naugatuck.

The post teased an official opening date and further details about the new Middlebury location would be announced soon.

"Thank you for five amazing years," the post reads, "and we're just getting started."

Family-owned and operated, the store features a variety of fresh bagel selections, according to the business' Facebook page.

In addition to bagels, the store specializes in sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, as well as other low carb and healthy options.

"Everything is homemade...and made with love," the page's description reads.
