Many citizens came out in the rain to join the Borough of Naugatuck and the Naugatuck Veterans Council in honoring our nation's war dead at the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies. Some participated in the procession through the borough streets, while others lined the sidewalks beneath their umbrellas to honor the fallen.

The parade stepped off from North Main Street at 9:15 A.M. and ended at the Town Green. There was a solemn ceremony moved indoors to the Congregational Church immediately after the conclusion of the parade.
