NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck High School's graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday has been postponed to next week due to the forecasted weather, according to Naugatuck Public Schools.
In a Facebook post Thursday, district officials said the ceremony, originally scheduled for June 12, will now take place Monday, June 15, at 6 p.m. "due to the forecasted heat advisory and threat of severe storms" for Friday.
According to the district's post, NHS seniors will still rehearse Friday morning as planned and should report to the graduation ceremony Monday at 5 p.m.
The district's "Grad Nite" event will still take place Friday as planned, district officials said.
District officials also noted parking for the high school's graduation Monday will be limited until 3:30 p.m. due to the City Hill Middle School stepping forth ceremony also taking place that day, and families are asked to plan accordingly.
"Thank you for your flexibility," the district's post reads. "We look forward to celebrating our Class of 2026!"
