Om Saturday, the Center Stage Theatre participated – for the first time – in Connecticut’s annual Open House Day event.
Presented in partnership with Celebrate Shelton and its Kids Hour Roadshow, the event was a family-friendly morning of arts, imagination, and hands-on experiences for young children. All of the free activities took place at the theatre’s 54 Grove Street location.
From 10-11am, there were theatre-based workshops including dance, fish prop making and mask making designed for children ages pre-K through grade 2.
Promptly at 11:15, children and their caregivers enjoyed a performance by the Center Stage Theatre Community Kids on their stage.
From 11:30-12:15pm, the children enjoyed songs and stories from the Sea with the beautiful Ariel, a magical musical storytelling experience inspired by the sea that invited children and families into an imaginative underwater adventure.
Families were welcome to participate in one, two, or all three featured experiences, and registration was required.
