WATERBURY, CT — Two Waterbury residents are $10,000 richer after purchasing winning lottery tickets at a local business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Monday, the residents purchased winning "PLAY4" tickets at Stop & Shop #2618 in Waterbury and won $10,000 each, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners' full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
As of Oct. 1, 2025, the CT Lottery will no longer publish winners' names without their written consent, according to officials.
