Road Closures Announced For Naugatuck, 'Significant Traffic Impacts' Expected: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police have announced a number of road and intersection closures in an area of Naugatuck beginning Monday.

In a Facebook post, police said drivers "should expect significant traffic impacts" in the area of May and Lincoln streets starting July 20 due to construction.

The following roads and intersections will be closed to through traffic, according to police:

• May Street between Donovan Road and Mulberry Street.
• Lincoln Street between May Street and Auburn Street.
• May Street at Donovan Road.
• May Street at Mulberry Street.
• Lincoln Street at May Street.
• Auburn Street at Lincoln Street.

The project is expected to last approximately one month, according to police.

Police also noted detours will be in place and may change as construction progresses.

"Please follow all posted signage and directions from officers and traffic control personnel," police wrote on Facebook.
